The results are in from the 2008 Flying Pig Fund Raising Campaign and they can be summed up in one word:
SUCCESS! We are grateful to the runners, walkers, and relay station volunteers for all their efforts. The "Kelly Green
Team" was out in full force during the weekend events; it was great to have so many participants.
Be Part of the 2009 Green Team
It's not too early to be thinking
about 2009! We will have runners in every event from the 5k to the full marathon and would love to have your participation.
If you are thinking of entering any of the Flying Pig races, consider running for the Kelly Carol team. Sponsors are welcome,
but not required to be part of our team. If you are interested in being part of a relay team or have any questions regarding
participation in any events, please contact kristyv17@msn.com
The Relay Station needs volunteers!
If you don't want to run, but would like to participate, we have the perfect place
for you! The Kelly Carol Foundation sponsors the Wasson Road Relay Station for the marathon. All that is required is a loud
voice and the desire to have fun! We coordinate relay team members, serve gatorade, and offer encouraging words to the thousands
of runners! It is a great way to help us in a short amount of time (only 3 hours!). Send us an email and let us know you interested
and we'll check back with you closer to the event.
Many of our volunteers have been with us for all eight years. We applaud them for their dedication. Please consider joining
the green team and contact us. You'll be glad you did.
